Julie A. Rosen is serving her fifth term as a Minnesota State Senator representing District 23, which includes all or portions of Blue Earth, Faribault, Jackson, Le Sueur, Martin, Waseca and Watonwan counties. Sen. Rosen chairs the Senate Finance Committee and is also a member of three additional committees- Energy and Utilities Finance and Policy; Health and Human Services Finance and Policy; and Human Services Reform Finance and Policy committees. In addition, Sen. Rosen chairs the Legislative Commission on Pension and Retirement and the Legislative Commission on Minnesota Sports Facilities.
Originally from Colorado, Sen. Rosen graduated from high school in Denver and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Colorado State University. She worked as a marketing representative for both Elanco and American Hoechst Chemical Company prior to being elected to the legislature.
