Bio

Deb is serving her third term as State Representative for House District 90 covering Kirkwood, Glendale, Warson Woods and parts of Sunset Hills, Webster Groves and Oakland. She is currently running for State Senate in District 15, which encompasses several new municipalities within West County, South County, and unincorporated St. Louis County. Deb serves on the Budget Committee working for better healthcare and mental healthcare coverage for Missouri's children, those with disabilities, and for the developmentally disabled communities. She has re-introduced to her colleagues the over 500 reserve accounts that hold over $3.4 billion that (due to term limits) many have forgotten. In addition to the Budget Committee, Deb has served on the Rules Committee, Agriculture Policy Committee and the Health, Mental Health and Social Services Appropriations Committee while also serving her caucus as freshman caucus leader and policy chair. Born and raised in New England, Deb put herself through college at Marquette University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Soon after graduation, Deb moved to St. Louis and has lived here ever since. Deb is an active part of the Kirkwood community working as a physical therapist and sole owner of an outpatient physical therapy clinic, Deb built her professional reputation based on results and is recognized as a leader in her field. As a longtime resident, Deb enjoys the unique neighborhoods and thriving businesses in her district. Deb's interest in politics was first sparked as a teenager when she participated in Girls State, a program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. There she learned the importance and value of Democratic government. In the following years, she put her enthusiasm for politics to work by becoming involved in many local and state issues. Deb had the great opportunity to participate in raising her nephew, Griffin, and is very proud of the man he has become.
