| In the 37 years he and his wife Janice have been married, they've come to appreciate the simple values of watching their children grow, welcoming friends for fellowship around the table, as well as ordinary pastimes like small-scale farming, shooting sports, and music.
Having worked as a registered nurse for 27 years, Rob has seen first-hand that life is precious and that we cannot measure it in years alone, but in how we affect those around us. Every day, Rob's work is guided by a concept called "best practice" where he and his team must constantly re-evaluate care based on what produces the best outcomes for the patient.
If a treatment is working, then good. But, if another technique is more effective, then they adapt and keep trying to improve. It is that spirit of innovation and care that Rob wants to bring to state government.
Too often, the laws the politicians pass do NOT represent "best practice". Rob will change that, and he will champion what is best so we don't have to settle for less.
That's why Rob and Janice chose to settle here in Wellford, because here family values are still respected and you can depend on your neighbors. They realized that it was a perfect fit for their friendly and outgoing family.
As a medical professional, Rob isn't the sort to stand by while things go wrong. In the last few years, when he saw some of the dangerous trends facing South Carolina, he went to work.
He accepted a position as Republican Precinct Executive Committeeman and started a conservative organization, ActionSC.org, to help citizens have a positive impact on our community's decisions.
Right now there is an opportunity for us to have even greater impact for conservative values.
