| I have been a lifelong educator, and currently serve as County Commissioner for the 7th District of Bradley County. While on the commission, I have served on numerous committees, including Chairman of the Road Committee, Chairman of the Insurance Committee, a member of the Finance Committee, Fire/EMS Committee, Juvenile Committee, Audit Committee and an SPCA Board Member.
I am a graduate of McMinn Central High School, University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Tusculum College with a Masters of Education and Tennessee Technological University with an EdS degree in Leadership and Administration. My wife, Lori Bryant Raper, is also a lifelong educator. We have been married for 30 years and have two sons, Neyland and Manning. Neyland is Director of Football Operations at the University of Georgia and Manning is a sales consultant with Axle Logistics in Knoxville. We have been active church members of First Baptist Cleveland for over 25 years.
Arriving in Cleveland in 1990 to teach mathematics and coach at Bradley Central High School, I have lived in District 24 for almost 32 years. After serving as principal at North Lee Elementary, I currently teach classes and have coached multiple sports at Walker Valley High School. If elected for this office, I will serve the residents of District 24 and strive to protect and preserve the rights and freedoms of the people with integrity and honor. |
