The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards singles out more than 1,000 creative students annually with cash awards, scholarships, certificates, plus publishing opportunities. Started by Scholastic, Inc. and administered by the Alliance for Yong Artists & Writers, Inc., the national competition takes place in Washington, D.C., each June.
