This site contains lesson plans that engage students in decision-making and problem-solving activities to give them an understanding of how government works and what its capabilities and limitations are.  The site allows teachers to communicate with their colleagues and with experts on Congress, including journalists, commentators, and some members of Congress.  This site also contains basic information explaining how laws are made, congressional procedures and how they differ between the House and the Senate, and different duties of the people on a Congress person's staff.
