The seminar will engage in an open and honest discussion of the presented topics from the standpoint of rural communities and share ideas and thoughts on how we can maximize engagement, participation and resources in rural communities to support world language learning and provide greater cultural and linguistic opportunities for students in these areas.  

In the afternoon, the group will examine the topic of proficiency and ACTFL’s proficiency guidelines and how these relate to the topics presented and what practical applications these have for instruction.
