Metro RESA's Kathy Matthews at CPRESA January 23rd! Leading Shared Understanding of Standards, 8:30 - 12:00
Story Date: 1/4/2018

CPRESA is proud to bring Metro RESA's Kathy Matthews (formerly GaDOE School Improvement Specialist) to work with curriculum leaders and academic coaches January 23rd from 8:30 - 12:00 in the CPRESA Auditorium.

Kathy is expert in using the 5 Step Protocol and Formative Instructional Practices so that academic coaches can support teachers in developing the skills to plan effective instruction and guide students to take ownership of their own learning

The 5-Step Protocol and FIP Modules are suggested resources for Planning for Quality Instruction in GaDOE's Coherent Instructional System. See the GaDOE document, "Develop Shared Understanding..." here

Kathy will provide a brief overview about the 5-Step Protocol and FIP, then spend the majority of the session addressing how curriculum leaders and coaches can support teachers as they make the deconstructing process meaningful and effective in planning for student learning.

If your PLCs are deconstructing standards to identify and share student learning targets, you will want to hear from Kathy
