September is Preparedness Month

We never know when disaster might strike, so it is important to have a plan in place to protect oneself and one’s family.  FEMA recommends:

  • Create a kit containing at least three days worth of bottled water per person, non-perishable food, first aid supplies, and other necessities.

  • Make a family emergency plan that includes both evacuation and reunification plans for every member of the family, including pets.

  • Visit for more information about emergency response, supplies and other tools to keep on hand.
