WHO:   West Georgia RESA area Science Teachers K-12
WHEN:   October 10, 11, 12, 2013
WHERE: Crystal River, Florida

West Georgia RESA is pleased to announce a free professional learning opportunity for our school districts.  On October 10, 11 and 12, we will be traveling to Crystal River, Florida to learn all about ocean life. As part of the experience, teachers will get to swim with the manatees. We want to help you turn this adventure into a "virtual field trip" for your students.  We will be selecting 7 individuals for this unique experience (one from each of our seven systems).

CONTEST:  To win, submit the technology proposal described below before the Friday, August 23rd deadline.  Judges will select winning entries based on their innovative means to transform this teacher experience to student learning through the use of technology.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  This is an all-expenses paid trip for three days and two nights, including the manatee swimming experience, kayaking, and state park hiking.

Everything will be paid for EXCEPT money for food down there and back and the payment of a substitute for those two work days.

If you would like to join us for this fun-filled trip, please complete the following form and submit it to kthompson@garesa.org by Friday, August 23rd.

Participants will have the opportunity to earn 2 PLUs.
