by Kerri Felder on 9/7/2013

The Georgia Teacher Alternative Preparation Program (TAPP) is a classroom-based
teacher preparation option for individuals who meet the basic qualifications to teach but
have not completed a teacher preparation program. Georgia TAPP equips teacher
candidates with the skills to ensure a reasonable expectation of initial success in their
classrooms, and puts in place a supervised candidateship/induction program that will help
them move toward subsequent mastery of teaching.

This is a 1-3 year program of study that has been approved by the Georgia Professional
Standards Commission. Candidates in the Georgia TAPP program must adhere to all the
program requirements.
