Master of Your Domain: The PSAT/NMSQT Edition for Educators

How to Use the Summary of Answers and Skills (SOAS) and AP Potential Report to Improve Students’ Skills

Audience:  Administrators, Curriculum Specialists, ELA/Math Department Chair, AP Coordinators

November 18th 9:30-12:00 at West Georgia RESA—Sign up here:

The Summary of Answers & Skills (SOAS) Report allows you to take a closer, detailed look at your students' academic skills by providing a snapshot of student performance on each PSAT/NMSQT test question. The AP Potential report will support your efforts to recruit students identified with high likelihood for success in AP or other advanced academic courses. Presented online, these reports may be downloaded and easily shared with others at your school beginning in January. Join us to learn how to link classroom activities with the skills the PSAT/NMSQT measures--critical reading, math problem solving, and writing skills (and focus on the skills in need of improvement) and how to intentionally recruit students for rigorous courses. Through personal reflection and group discussion, you will begin to devise action plans to help your students and to utilize this tool in your school/district. In addition, updates regarding the redesigned PSAT will be shared.
