DOUGHERTY COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION SEEKS NEW SUPERINTENDENT

The Dougherty County Board of Education has secured the services of the Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA) to assist with their  search for a new superintendent.  Dougherty County Schools is a system with 16,234 students, 28 educational facilities and a total staff of 1283 professional and 995 classified employees.  Persons interested in this position should not contact the Dougherty County Board of Education directly.  All interested applicants should contact GSBA for information and applications by calling (770) 962-2985 or (800) 226-1856, or by referencing the GSBA web site at www.gsba.com.

Completed applications for this position must be received by GSBA no later than Tuesday, November 24, 2009.  These application materials should be mailed to GSBA at the following address:

  • a formal letter of application indicating a desire to be considered a candidate;
