by Herbert Garrett on 8/23/2012

The committee charged with the responsibility of selecting Georgia's 2013 Superintendent of the Year has named four finalists for the award.  Chosen by the committee were:
  • Chris Erwin, Superintendent, Banks County Schools
  • Thomas Lockamy, Superintendent, Savannah-Chatham County Schools
  • Will Schofield, Superintendent, Hall County Schools
  • Michelle Taylor, Calhoun City Schools
GSSA and its members offer sincere congratulations to these outstanding system leaders.

Each of the finalists will now complete the AASA Superintendent of the Year application, and the judges will choose Georgia's 2013 Superintendent of the Year after a review of that document.  The winner's name will be announced at the November 30 Awards Luncheon during the GSSA/GSBA Winter Conference at the Waverly Hotel in Cobb County.
