2nd Annual Art Contest for HGRESA Students

HGRESA Annual Art Contest (#2)

Reminder:  We are trying to simplify the process. Thanks to the art teachers who attended the committee meeting and provided feedback.

Art submission:  February 11-15  Grades 3-5 and Staff  8:30 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday  (If not convenient time, please email connie@hgresa.org or dana@hgresa.org.)

Art submission:  February 18-22  Grades 6-12 and Staff   8:30 AM - 3:00 Monday-Friday  (If not convenient time, please email connie@hgresa.org or dana@hgresa.org.)

One piece of artwork per grade level (3rd-12th) per school  can be submitted. One piece of artwork per staff member that chooses to participate.  Example:  Wheeler County can submit 10 pieces of artwork - one piece for grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).  Staff members can submit one piece of artwork per participating staff member.

Please do not resubmit a piece of artwork that received an honor during 2017-2018 in the 1st Annual HGRESA Art Show.

Artwork must be framed, on a Styrofoam board, or on a canvas.  (No glass)
Huge consideration:  If artwork gets stacked on top of each other, will it be o.k.?  Will it smear?
Art must be school appropriate topics/themes.  Audience viewers will be all ages.
Names, schools, grades, school role should be on the back of the artwork.

First place winners at each grade level will be recognized at the HGRESA Annual Awards/Service Learning Collaborative Event on April 11, 2019 at 6:00 PM at DuBose Porter Building in Dublin.

Art will be displayed from March 18 - April 30.  Artwork should be picked up from May 1 - May 13.  Art Evenings: April 11, 18  (4:30 PM - 7:00 PM).  Community members are invited to visit with us and view the students' artwork and take pictures.
