Teaching the GSE: Grade 5 Economics - The Georgia elementary school curriculum in socials studies provides students a strong foundation in the history of the United States. This workshop is designed to highlight economics in US history during the 20th Century. Teachers will receive six NEW lessons designed specifically for the implementation of the new Georgia Standards of Excellence. There is no registration fee for this workshop, instructional materials are provided, substitute reimbursement is available, and lunch is included.

Lights, Camera, Econ - Georgia is now the third largest hub for television and film production in the country and fifth in the world. This one-day workshop for 8th - 12th grade teachers focuses on the various characteristics of Georgia that make this possible including Georgia's infrastructure, its location, supportive government, and all-important tax credit. There is no registration fee for this workshop, instructional materials are provided, substitute reimbursement is available, and lunch is included.
