The USDA recently released the results of it’s first-ever nationwide survey of local food marketing practices, and North Carolina ranked pretty high in the results. NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler says that North Carolina ranked 10th in the US in the number of farms that are selling foods locally, and ranked 11th in total direct farm sales.
