Commercial fishermen from up and down the North Carolina coast docked their trawlers in the Neuse River Tuesday so they could be heard at a public hearing on proposed state rules they say could put them out of work. An estimated 1,000 people attended the meeting in New Bern where the state Marine Fisheries Commission is considering a petition from the North Carolina Wildlife Federation to adopt regulations for shrimp trawlers operating in coastal sounds...
