New model, app predicts extreme weather chances for a specific farm

Farmers can learn about the probability of extreme weather events on their farm before the growing season and more appropriately plan how to handle it.University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences experts led by Caroline Staub and Diego Pequeno are conducting a study to give growers tools to anticipate extreme weather such as severe heat or dry spells during the various phases of crop development.
