A decision to exit a high-profile, but non-core joint venture contributed to Unifi Inc. reporting Wednesday a 29 percent decline in net income to $4.59 million in its second quarter of fiscal 2017. The Greensboro yarn manufacturer has its largest U.S. plant in Yadkinville with about 1,000 employees.
