New Extension agent Pettis takes reins of county horticulture

Henderson County has another new Cooperative Extension agent, dedicated full time to home and commercial horticulture in the county, one of the largest in the state for greenhouse production. Steve Pettis, 43, a Georgia native and University of Georgia graduate, started just over a week ago with the Extension and comes with a long background in gardening.
