No change in NC’s drought conditions

In the latest drought monitor released by the Drought Mitigation Center, North Carolina’s drought conditions stayed static across the board.  27.24% of the state is in abnormally dry conditions, 12.43% of the state is in moderate drought, 2.91% of the state is in severe drought and .01% of the state is in extreme drought.  All the dry conditions are concentrated in the foothills and mountains of North Carolina.  The remainder of the state is drought free.
