Reynolds American’s fourth-quarter earnings up more than 200 percent

Cigarette manufacturer Reynolds American Inc. reported fourth-quarter earnings that beat expectations and rose more than 200 percent, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Reynolds American, which makes Camel and Pall Mall, reported earnings of $851 million, or 62 cents, beating expectations of 60 cents per share, according to a Form 8K.
Revenue for the quarter rose 4.3 percent to $3.19 billion, slightly above Wall Street expectations.
