The Corn Growers Association of North Carolina is holding a referendum next Wednesday, February 22nd to continue assessing farmers for the maintenance of the organization and all it provides to the state’s corn growers. Wade Byrd, past president and North Carolina corn farmer: “This is a very important referendum, we’re going to be asking for a cent and a quarter assessment per bushel, and we have been operating at a bare minimum ..."
