Here's who's still in line to bid on N.C.'s first offshore wind farm

In less than two weeks, energy companies from across the globe can bid to develop North Carolina's first offshore wind farm.
A 122,405-acre tranche located off the coast of Kitty Hawk will be up for lease, with a starting bid of just $244,810. Tracey Moriarty, spokeswoman for Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, says bidding will start at 9 a.m. March 16.
