Unifi Inc. said Monday it has the ability to produce its post-consumer recycled PET plastic flake for use in the manufacturing of containers that come in contact with consumable foods. The Greensboro yarn manufacturer, with its largest workforce in Yadkinville, said the Food and Drug Administration has given Unifi its letter of no objection related to the plastic.
