The impact of livestock on climate change has been abuzz for several years, but livestock are actually a very small portion of contributions to greenhouse gas emissions. Frank Mitloehner, animal science professor and air quality specialist at the University of California, Davis, said the breakdown of what affects greenhouse gas emissions is largely part of the transportation industry and energy production.
