If you're at home with little ones during the week, make plans to head over to N.C. State's Farm Animal Days. 
The annual event is very popular with groups - from school groups to play groups - and individual families. Kids, early grade schooler and younger are best, get a chance to see farm animals - big and small - up close. And then eat free ice cream!
