While this week we faced a set back in our efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare, the House of Representatives did make progress on fixing our nation's healthcare system with the passage of two significant pieces of legislation. First there was the Competitive Health Insurance Reform Act, a bipartisan bill that passed with over 400 votes and would help ensure greater competition in the health insurance market, something that will drive down costs for consumers.

Additionally, the House passed H.R. 1101, the Small Business Health Fairness Act of 2017. This bill marks the first step in our work to achieve our long-held goal of allowing small businesses to work together and purchase health insurance across state lines.
