CoCoRaHS, or Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network is looking for farmers, especially in the eastern part of North Carolina to contribute to the network.  CoCoRaHS was established in North Carolina in 2007 to obtain a better understanding of local weather and climate patterns by taking daily weather observations by using a simple, low-cost rain gauge.
