The North Carolina Department of Agriculture is offering a pilot program to large produce farms in an effort to help those farms get in compliance before the Food Safety Modernization Act goes into effect next year. NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler  says North Carolina is among a handful of sates that are piloting this program of on-farm readiness reviews.
