Company plans $3.4M Triad slaughter floor operation

Randolph County commissioners will hold a public hearing May 1 to consider incentives for an undisclosed firm that plans to invest $3.4 million in the former Yates Country Ham building in Asheboro and add 40 jobs, according to the Courier-Tribune newspaper. The unnamed firm plans to use the facility for a slaughter floor operation to cut and package meat for distribution.
