AgCarolina Farm Credit is proud to announce the graduation of the eighth class of Ag Biz Planner.  Ag Biz Planner features an e-learning curriculum including financial and business planning, budgeting and other money matters essential to a farm’s success.

The Ag Biz Planner graduates are Brandon Batten of Johnston County, Angela Berben of Beaufort County, Sydney Edwards Dunn of Wake County, Zak and Trey Manning of Beaufort County, Megan Sexton Spain and Jed Spain of Washington County, and Garry and Kathy Wilson of Wilson County.

The Farm Credit University on-line program targets young, beginning, small, and minority farmers throughout the state.  Participants have an AgCarolina Farm Credit loan officer to serve as their mentor throughout the course guiding them in their financial and business planning mission.  Highlights of the program include modules that cover business and personal financial planning, understanding income statements, cash flow, and the smart use of credit on the farm.  Graduating participants have a business plan for their operation to guide them into the future decision-making for their operation.

“AgCarolina Farm Credit supports Ag Biz Planner because of the proven track record graduates have in growing their operation,” states President and CEO Dave Corum.  “Part of our mission is to provide opportunities for the next generation of agricultural leaders to interact, network, and participate in educational courses to strengthen their business.”
