The Florida Supreme Court ruled unanimously Thursday that thousands of Engle progeny lawsuits can continue against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. The decision appears to increase the odds that the U.S. Supreme Court may choose to take up the legal disputes in the future. Reynolds spokesman Bryan Hatchell said Friday that the company declines to comment on the ruling.
