The National Ag Statistics Service recently released their 2017 Planting Intentions report, and peanut acres across the nation, as well as in North Carolina are projected to increase, but Bob Sutter, Director of the North Carolina Peanut Growers Association says the acreage may be a little short: “They show us at a 100,000, and that’s about 9% more than last year."
