The $43 billion acquisition of Syngenta AG(NYSE:SYT) by ChemChina is a few steps closer to being finalized after the companies received regulatory approval from China’s Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday.
“This represents a further step towards the closing of the transaction, which is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2017,” the companies said in a joint statement.
