North Carolina’s drought conditions improve slightly

In the latest drought monitor released by the Drought Mitigation Center on Thursday, North Carolina’s drought conditions improved slightly over last week.  the area of abnormally dry conditions remained steady at 56.52%, the area of moderate drought decreased from just over 36% to 34.74%, and the area of severe drought fell from just over 5% to 4.64%.
