Myron Pitts: Immigration fears in North Carolina’s farm fields

A pregnant woman in rural Dudley was robbed at gunpoint — in her own home. She did not report the crime.
She is an undocumented immigrant and feared if she called law officers, she could be deported. This according to Justin Flores, a leader with the Farm Labor Organizing Committee, a national farm workers’ union based locally in Dudley, which is just south of Goldsboro.
