N.C. solar hearing ends with all sides taking shots at state’s customer advocate

Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) and solar industry advocates all found bones to pick with the Public Staff of the N.C. Utilities Commission in the final day of the biennial hearing on power prices and solar policies. Lawyers representing solar companies and industry supporters took aim at the staff’s support for Duke proposals to shorten standard contracts for power purchases and to reduce the size of projects that qualify for them.
