Top execs at wind farm developer Avangrid Renewables say North Carolina holds major “potential” in the coming decade when it comes to wind energy. The comments come a month after Avangrid’s successful $9.1 million bid for the leasing rights on a 122,405-acre tranche off the coast of North Carolina’s Kitty Hawk– what could one day be the state’s first offshore wind farm.
