Bill to limit lawsuits against farms goes to governor

The state House voted Thursday to partly shield hog farms and other agricultural operations from monetary damages in lawsuits over odors and other effects they have on neighboring properties. The bill is now pending before the governor. It passed the House and Senate with veto-proof majorities.
