Torrential rains earlier this week bypassed the eastern part of North Carolina and they couldn’t be happier.  That doesn’t mean it didn’t rain at all, just not as much as what most of the Piedmont received.  Director of Beaufort County Extension Rod Gurganus:"After the last three years or so, with the weather that we’ve had, no, they’re not missing that rain at all."
