Of all the food holidays, few mean as much, at least in spirit, to the Cape Fear coast as the one that falls on May 10 -- National Shrimp Day. Brown, pink and white shrimp combined for a net of more than $16 million to North Carolina fishermen in 2015 and behind only blue crabs in dollar value.
