Fayetteville Technical Community College on Monday rededicated its horticulture educational center in honor of state Sen. Wesley Meredith of Fayetteville, one of the school’s most prominent graduates. Meredith became emotional as he made remarks thanking the school for naming the building, which is at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, after him. The building is now called the Wesley A. Meredith Horticulture Educational Center.
