North Carolina is experiencing strong economic growth statewide, but not so much outside of Charlotte and Raleigh.
An economic outlook report for the state, made by Wells Fargo, says North Carolina beat nationwide GDP growth in the fourth quarter of 2016 and should continue to do so through 2017. But Charlotte and the Research Triangle area accounted for 70 percent of the North Carolina’s new jobs in 2016.
