NASDA The National Governors Association (NGA), National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) released the following statement today on states’ priorities for the 2018 Farm Bill:

“Governors, legislators and chief state agricultural officials urge Congress to prioritize reauthorizing the Farm Bill before the current one expires in 2018.

Together we have long advocated for certainty and stability for America’s farmers and ranchers, who affect the economic stability and security of not just their communities, but the nation and even the world.

Congress plays a vital role in ensuring a bountiful agricultural economy, especially amid the farm industry’s current downturn. We ask you to provide these hard-working producers the tools they need to succeed.

Collectively we remain committed to a strong state-federal partnership that provides security for the people who feed and fuel America.”
