Sandy Mush farmers simplify strawberry harvest

Pam Zimmerman knows a thing or two about small summer fruits, cultivating blueberries, blackberries, plus red and black raspberries over two and a half acres in the Sodom Laurel community. With the help of her daughter, she operates Zimmerman’s Berry Farm, where visitors come to pick their own fruit, paying for their harvest by the pound. “We’ve got three to four cars in our lot every day when we’re open,” she said.
