Do you generously apply water to early cotton or do you ease up on irrigation a bit to condition the plant to handle potential drought stress later in the season? It’s a question that’s been around for a while among cotton growers and peanut growers. The debate hinges on what is called 'primed acclimation,’ but it’s been called priming or hardening off, too.
