Charlotte’s busy airport and quickly growing population have incentivized businesses of all kinds to expand in the area. The latest industry? Avocado distribution.  Work has begun on a cold storage distribution center for Henry Avocado Corp., an Escondido, Calif.-based company that will use the facility to grow its supply chain of avocados to restaurants, food distributors and grocery stores along the East Coast, according to a statement Thursday from A M King, the firm handling construction of the site.
