More Hurricane Matthew aid is on the horizon for North Carolina

State and local lawmakers are working to bring more relief money to hurricane-damaged areas of North Carolina, including Cumberland, Robeson and Bladen counties. In drafts of the 2017-18 North Carolina budget, both the state House and Senate allocate $150 million in response to October’s Hurricane Matthew and other disaster incidents from the fall. The House is scheduled to vote on the budget on Thursday.
